School-Home Communication

School Messenger System

The automated phone system is consistently used to notify families about events at Fay. It is very important that we have your correct phone number and email, otherwise you will not receive the phone calls or email notifications.

Class Dojo

Class Dojo is considered one of the school's  primary forms of communication. Please make sure to connect with your child's teacher for information about how to connect. Messages are sent out on a daily or weekly basis.  Administration also posts informational updates.

School Information & Flyers

Flyers are consistently used to inform families about school events; therefore it is very important that families check for this information inside your child's backpack everyday. Special events are also advertised on the school grounds such as on the front office windows, by the gates, and the bulletin board just outside of the office doors, in the hallway.

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Attend parent-teacher conferences to learn about your child's progress in school. Learn more. For the dates of this year's parent conferences, please view our calendar link on our homepage.

Parent/Guardian Contact Information

In case of illness, accident or other emergency, the school will attempt to contact a child's parent or guardian. Please make sure the school has current contact information, including home, work, cell phone and pager numbers. In addition, be sure to keep the office informed of any changes in emergency contacts or child care arrangements.

Facts for Parents

Each student should receive a copy of San Diego Unified School District's Facts for Parents publication:

English | Spanish | Somali

Facts for Parents is a yearly publication that contains essential information about the district. It includes:
